They were the only two-doors to do so. The Grand Prix was really amazing when it appeared. And I loved the quiet elegance of the original Monte Carlo, in charcoal grey with a black vinyl roof and black "panty-cloth" ribbed seating. It seemed almost like a small Cadillac rather than a Chevrolet.
