We got our first color TV in '63 or '64, and I was shocked that every show wasn't in color. In fact, the TV Guide actually listed which shows were in color! My parents would pick which shows we watched by if they were in color or not. In my recollection, hippies first came on the scene in 1967 -- the "Summer of Love." I started college in the Fall of 1966 and everyone was dressed in very preppy clothes but by the end of the academic year there was a lot of bell bottoms, huge collars, etc. Maybe I was too isolated in my Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-491858821724608028.post-72843349793134832382010-11-11T21:18:37.118-05:002010-11-11T21:18:37.118-05:00The blackout we had a few years back was a bit sca...The blackout we had a few years back was a bit scary
and we'll never be given the true reason of its failure.

I bet the hippies were happy that the electricity went out some 45 yrs ago...lolKorean Car Maniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06413162812043485242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-491858821724608028.post-8580357681920970392010-11-11T15:07:59.318-05:002010-11-11T15:07:59.318-05:00I really don't remember those other blackouts....I really don't remember those other blackouts. probably says more about me than them, lol.

i only have a landline, but it's through Comcast, so it goes out quite often! the worst part is when there is something wrong with my internet or TV, the phone goes out too so I can't call them to tell them.Casey Shainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15654097774209894695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-491858821724608028.post-57279922923006542712010-11-11T14:12:11.834-05:002010-11-11T14:12:11.834-05:00Well, we had a blackout in 1977 and we had a prett...Well, we had a blackout in 1977 and we had a pretty big blackout in 2003 that darkened everything east of the Mississippi if I recall correctly.
