I can just imagine the sun glinting off the Sound, a light Summer breeze, blueberries being tossed at each other. This couple, friends of my grandmother's and caught in a playful moment, make me smile at the "realness" of the moment. This photograph could have been taken at almost any time right on up to present day. I have it hanging in our laundry room, right over the washing machines, to give our "chore" room a bit of fun.
"Playful Afternoon," paint, paper and polyurethane on two antique chestnut floorboards, approximately 19" x 36".
Where is everybody? Is this even working?
ReplyDeleteOther than the fact we now have to write a paragraph to get by the watchful eyes of the robot-cops. lol
I've only noticed these new "captchas" in the past week or so. I think I'll change the commenting system to not need them. I only have to delete 1-2 spams a month, so either the Blogger software is working, or I'm just not Spam-worthy, lol. I'll see how it goes with an open commenting system, if it lets me have that option.
ReplyDeleteI don't like it myself but sometimes stops a troll in his/hers tracks, lol
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good! I got rid of the need to type in those captchas.
ReplyDeleteI HATE TYPING ALL THOSE LETTERS ALSO. I END UP HAVING TO TYPE TWO OR THRE TIMES TO GET THE D/// THING RIGHT. LOVE THE PICTURE. SWEET ROMANCE NO DOUBT.

Good to see a post from you Granny, I was getting worried... You know we are all like a mother duck at times, checking that all our little ducklings are there.
ReplyDeleteANNIE, GLAD I'M MISSED. I JUST HAVEN'T HAD MUCH TO CHAT ABOUT LATELY. NO GET UP AND GO.
