Merry Christmas from casey/artandcolour!

It's almost time to display Santa. This is thr life-sized Santa Claus my father made in 1960 or '61. He's plywood and the paint is still almost perfect. My father made things that lasted! This was a kit that my father built from plans in a magazine like Woodworking I believe. Santa spends the year in the attic and then stands outside on Christmas Day. This photo is from 2010. Last year I believe it stormed on Christmas so he stayed inside. The advantage of middle age, lol!

    Ho Ho Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! That's a great Santa you have, Casey!

    Onward and upward to a joyous happy new year! As some of you know, I lost my big brother to a long battle with cancer just a month ago. Now I'm looking very much forward to a Happy 2013! And wish the same for each of you!

    On a side note, I think Granny's computer crashed last week and she is looking to get a new one after the new year, hence her absence here. I'm sure she would want me to relay her great good wishes to you, Casey, and to everyone!

    COMPUTER HAS BEEN DOWN FOR A FEW DAYS. GRAMPS IS LOOKING FOR A DEAL. WE'LL SEE. ANYWAYS, I HOPE YOU GOT TO SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE. OUR YOUNGEST HAD CHRISTMAS AT HER HOUSE AS SHE DOES EVERY YEAR.I STAYED HOME THEN THEY ALL CAME OVER ON THRUSDAY. IT WAS A FUN DAY. I HADN'T HAD MY HAIR CUT IN 6 MONTHS SO WE HAD A HAIRCUTTING DAY MY DAUGHTER NEVER CUT HAIR BEFORE BUT WITH LOTS OF ADVICE FROM EVERYONE THE JOB GOT DONE AND IF I MIGHT SAY SHE DID A GREAT JOB. IT REALLY WAS LIKE A PARTY. ALOT OF LAUGHING AND TEASING ESPECIALLY BY THE GRANDKIDS. ALL OF THEM. I CAME OUT A WINNER AND SAVED MYSELF $20.00. LOL CHEAP ME.
