Not my photograph, and not my flowers. This is a wedding bouquet by my great friend and floral designer, Mary—her work is unparalleled. Dedicated to all of my gay friends in California, that as of this afternoon, have the same right to marry as I do in Connecticut.
For anyone marrying in Connecticut, check out Mary's website. Floral Affair is listed on the right in my Blog Roll also.
Totally agree with your sentiments, Casey, nice tribute. Peace.
ReplyDeleteI came to leave you this little tidbit and didn't expect you new posting - so I hope you don't mind I leave it here for you. http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/amazing-unusual-garages
Thank you, Annie. Of course it's fine to post the link in here. What fabulous garages!!! There is a home in my town with a 36 car garage. Yes, 36 cars. I haven't seen it but I'm sure it's quite something!
ReplyDeleteHere, here, Casey! To all the gay people of California! It's a great day for California and a great day for America. The overturning of Prop 8 is such a joyful thing!
ReplyDeleteHooray!
And the bouquet is a knockout!

Casey,
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled at the news from California. But I am dismayed at the hate and lies already being spewed by upstanding people like Newt Gingrich. I'm sure you've seen a lot of it on Joe.My.God. It will be a long road but we will get to the right place in the end.
Paul, New York City
P.S. I'm going to look at that garage link now!
Paul: I'm VERY concerned about what the 'right' is going to do now. I think it's just going to get uglier and uglier. I wish people could look at Connecticut's experience though, which has been to live and let live. In Connecticut one day gay marriage was illegal, the next day it was legal (and under a Republican governor!) and the sun came up the next day, people went on about their lives, and the world was good. There doesn't have to be the ugliness that the FRC, FOF, NOM etc are going to bring to the stage, but it's going to happen, we all know it. I hope in 20 years it all seems as ridiculous as needing to have Virginia v Loving in 1967 does today.
ReplyDeleteI JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY.
ReplyDeleteGRANNY
All anyone should want for anyone else is to be happy, but there are corporations and groups that make it their jobs to make sure that hate is spread around this world and on to the younger generation. It should be criminal!
ReplyDeleteCan;t we just start calling them the "radical wrong." They are on the wrong side of history and it may get worse before it gets better. But it will get better. I just hope we all live to see it.
ReplyDeletePaul, New York City
"radical wrong" I like that!
