i've never been a morning person, ever! It was really difficult for me when I needed to be on a 7:12AM train every morning to new york city. i was lucky to get home by midnight every night. We wouldn't get the call that the paper was on press and running correctly until 7-9pm some nights, and then I'd have dinner in the city and take a 10pm train home. I was young then though, and having the time of my life. Every morning was a bummer though.
ah, coffee is SO good! I percolate it on the stove in an old Revere ware pot. I like to buy a few different types of coffee beans and mix them. I don't know what I'm doing, but it makes sense to me that the flavor would be richer if you start out with more than one type of bean...
Casey, I think the floral is gorgeous. I'm such a sucker for floral artwork of any kind. LOL But what is the purple fuzzy looking flower you've used as filler? (please) I'm not a morning person, either. Ugh. I, too, had to really struggle to get from the burbs to Cambridge early in the morning on my working days, too. Don't miss THOSE days! LOL I didn't drink coffee back then but now I practically take a coffee IV. I love good coffee. I'm always on the lookout for some interesting beans! :)
Hi Katie, The smaller purple clustered followers around the zinnias are sedum. most sedums are autumn flowers, but i have a variety that comes out in June and July too. They start out as a dark pinky purple, then age into a nice rusty purple of sorts, if that makes sense.
CASEY, VERY PRETTY. WHAT IS THE PURPLE FLOWER IN THE BACKGROUND.
ReplyDeleteGRANNY
Good morning! All three flowers are Zinnias, Granny. I had to use what I had around the house at 3am, lol.

The more I look at this photoshop piece the more it reminds me of a high-tech Tie Dye T shirt, lol!
ReplyDeleteCasey, I think it would be an awesome wrapping paper! Think of it as another sideline, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHere's to coffee - my lifeblood !
Casey,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever looked at the pastel flower pictures of Odilon Redon? They are amazing - even more so in person.
He had been known for his black and white graphic work but he burst into color and it was extraordinary.
I've never heard of Odilon Redon but now i'll do some research. thanks!
ReplyDeletemore coffee...
