O N W O O D — This piece is 23 x 16 inches on pine. Images include a 1943 image of my uncle's "group" gathered around one of their motorcycles. Other images include a '40s chocolate box and other images of my uncle during that period. Playing on American Beauty Rose, American Beauty Goes reveals a brief shining moment in young lives. In an era of war, their time together was perhaps as brief as it takes to devour a box of fresh dime-store chocolates.
Candy boxes saved, loves lost.
