O N W O O D — The Grace of the Fallen. This piece uses an image of a late 1940s Cadillac Series 75 limousine. I found it on a used car lot in the early 1980s, in truly derelict condition. I was fascinated with the power window switches, one of the first applications of that luxury feature, juxtaposed with the once-gorgeous, button-tufted and rat-eaten upholstery. The car had an undeniable elegance about it though. 22 x 24 inches on 2 pine boards.
