Picked today, a perfectly ripened Lemon Cucumber. Next time I'm going to leave a portion of the stem coming out of the top. They're quite photogenic, tweaked or not. This image has had the color of the wood enhanced, the vegetable hasn't been tampered with.
Natural color of the porch floor. I think both of these photos are great enlarged.
I think your lemon cucumber picture is beautiful. Now, what will you make with it? I can't remember, did you say you were or were not a fan of regular cucumbers?
ReplyDeleteWhen I make my Casey Burgers: tomatoes/Basel I add also thin slices of cucumbers. I bet these lemon ones would be good, I read they have a slightly sweeter taste then regular cucumbers.
"This is a Cucumber" is a very marketable print. Trust me.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marius...
ReplyDeleteCasey, you could put together a 'home grown' calendar for 2011, with a collection of your photos.
I'll buy one!
thanks. every once in a while, one just jumps out at you!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. High quality, limited edition and signed.
ReplyDeleteWith you Casey it's more often than not.
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giclée
ReplyDeleteGiclées are popular around here. I'd like to get into prints someday. I'm not there yet, lol.
What does a lemon cucumber taste like?
ReplyDeletethey're supposed to have a little citrus flavor, but I haven't tasted anything out of the ordinary. They're just good normal tasting cukes.
ReplyDeleteSo, just a cuke in lemon drag.
ReplyDeleteI priced the Giclee print thing. It would cost $86 for an 18 x 24 print.
Good news - greeting or note cards are $2.25 for a run of 10.
yeah, that's why it's for the future.
ReplyDeleteI'll support this endeavor - give it some thought.
ReplyDeleteword verification: sour ie
