Miniature Autumn Tableau

June gave me this selection of decorative gourds the other day. I love the way the orange Nasturtium has entered the picture, lol, as if saying "Me too, Me too!"  Though nasturtiums bloom in the summer too, they seem to be enjoying the cool nights more, and are throwing off many more leaves and flowers now. Autumn begins tomorrow night, Wednesday September 22, at a few minutes past 11pm to be more precise. I'll be enjoying summer right up until the last second.

  1. LONG DAY AND NERVE RACKING.TOOK A NAP WHILE THE MACHINES WERE TRYING TO DRY THE RUG. ONE MORE REASON TO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PAY FOR THE UN EXPECTED. ONE OUTFIT HOME DEPOT WANTED US TO USE TO INSTALL WANTED OVER $700.00. THAT INCLUDED THE WATER HEATER. D/// CROOKS. EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBER CAME OVER AND INSTALLED THE WATER HEATER. GRAMPS GAVE HIM $100.00 AND SAID IT WAS WORTH IT TO HIM.IT TOOK HIM LESS THAN HALF AN HOUR.NOW BACK TO BLOGGING.

  2. Hi Casey - yep, so far so good with my shot/needle regiment today, though I have never had a problem with a flu shot in the past, [knock wood] this year it includes the swine as well.

Granny, what a mess you have been through, glad it's all getting under control. You know I have a tiny little screw that broke in half on my kitchen faucet. There is no way to get the screw out to replace it, so the answer is a whole new faucet. it still works so I continue to use it. I laughed at myself the other day because if I sold the place it would be something I would have to replace. but it seems stupid to spend all that money when it still works.

Casey it is fun finding out about the books I have, I Google to get information on them. Some pleasant surprises as well to know their value. I print out a little copy and stick it inside the book, so when I am gone the kids will get a clue that it is not junk. lol

You are correct about the scanner being hard on what you are scanning. You have to be very careful and I think limit what you scan. Kind of like a "library style mammogram" or is that TMI? lol

  3. Annie: I've printed out info about books and put it inside them too! sometimes i print out the Amazon reviews of the books I've designed, or if it's an antique, whatever I've found out about it online.

Granny: i'm sure you're tired today! whenever anything disrupts my normal day, it wears me down. I hope everything is back to normal now!

  5. THE NASTURTIUM CHEERED ME UP. IT MADE ME THINK OF MY MOM. SHE GREW THEM ALSO. THE PICTURE MAKES ME THINK OF FALL AND GOING TO THE APPLE GROVES. THEY ALWAY SELL SQUASH OUT OF LARGE WOOD BENDS.I DON'T LIKE HALLOWEEN BUT I LIKE THE FALL YARD DECORATIONS.
THE MACHINES ARE GOING STRONG IN THAT ROOM. I JUST WON'T BELIEVE THAT THE RUG AND PED WILL BE DRY BY TOMORROW. I FEEL JUST MAYBE IT'S BEEN LEAKING LONGER BECAUSE I NOTICE SOME RUST MARKS ON THE NEW RUG WHERE THE FILE WAS SITTING. THINGS HAPPEN AND I'M TRYING HARD TO GO WITH THE FLOW. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU GET OLD IT'S JUST SO HARD. TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.
WHERE ARE THE GUYS? COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE.

    SLEEP WELL.
