The flag was at half-mast last week in Connecticut, for a 25 year old soldier from our state, killed a few weeks ago in Afghanistan. He was on his second voluntary deployment, with only a few months left overseas. For more on Sgt .Steven J. DeLuzio, click here. He's the first one listed in this memorial profile.

  1. For Sgt. Steven J. DeLuzio

    “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
    Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
    At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.”

    From The Ode; Laurence Binyon, 1914

  4. MY SIL'S BROTHER NEVER CAME HOME FROM WW2. THEY NEVER COULD FIND HIS BODY. HE WAS IN A PLANE SHOT OUT OF THE SKY. JUST MAYBE HE WENT UP INSTEAD OF DOWN. JUST MAYBE. HE WAS JUST A KID.

  5. Casey, change the caption on "Running White Dog" to "Chasing White Dog" - your not being honest with us ! All the pics are great - but once again you got me with the hydrangeas - spectacular !

  6. Casey, may I use your Hydrangeas, Island Avenue to make a little note card for my own personal use?

  7. Sure, Annie. It's not a proper resolution for printing, but if you print is smaller, it might look OK. I also optimize the colors for the web, so again I'm not sure how it will print. Go for it.
